Verdi's opera Il Trovatore (The troubadour) is one of the great classics in the operatic oeuvre. The opera of Odessa from Ukraine performs the opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi, with 120 soloists, choristers and orchestral musicians on stage. So, including the world-famous gypsy choir.
Il Trovatore is a drama full of tension, love, revenge, deceit and death in which two men compete for the same woman. The story revolves around the troubadour Manrico and the Count Luna, who are both in love with the beautiful Leonora. A dark secret connects Manrico and Luna, but it's only at the very last moment that Manrico's supposed mother, the gypsy Azucena, reveals what that is. The outcome is tragic.
